What is the class schedule?

We offer a day and a night class.

Day and Night class are Monday through Friday, with observance of federal holidays. Typical hours for the day class are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Typical hours for the night class are 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Class times are subject to change depending on the location.

Our NDT Video Library online classes also follow same timings. You will be required to attend the classes on Zoom and the instructor will be on zoom for the entire time.

Self-paced classes are also available if none of the above fit in your schedule.

How long is the class?

The course is 400 hours.

The day class is 10 weeks long. The night class is 16 weeks long (due to the shorter hours/day).

Funding

How do I get funded?

AATA partners with many different organizations that provide funding to our students. These organizations use state, federal, and veteran funds to help you pay for the cost of the course. Each organization has different requirements to be approved for funding. These can include but are not limited to where you live, veteran status, employment status, and income.

AATA was awarded the VEAP grant, providing tuition coverage to qualifying veterans who would like to attend our training!

What if I don’t qualify for funding?

We are able to find funding for most of our students. If you do not qualify for funding, we have other options! You can always pay out of pocket, use our loan service, or apply for a scholarship. If you don’t qualify for funding the first time, we can always try for the next class.

Who do I contact for funding?

The best place to start is contact us! We have a short form for you to fill out, then we can help direct you to a funding source that may work for you! Contact us here.

Certification

Do I get certified with this course?

Upon completion of each method, you will receive a certificate. This certificate proves that you have your Qualified Classroom Training hours for that method. You will still need to complete On-The-Job training and an employer issued test to receive your Level certifications.

What certifications do I receive?

Upon completion of each method you will receive your Qualified Classroom Training hours. To see which methods we teach, visit our Courses Offered page.

Why would I take classroom training through AATA?

You will gain an advanced knowledge of the methods you take, making you a valuable hire to employers. Plus, your employer will not need to pay for you to attend classroom training! Upon completion of the full program, you have the option to enter into our CA state and Nationally recognized Apprenticeship and obtain your Department of Labor NDT Technician Certification.
